ORDER:

The Selection Committee constituted under Rule 3 (A)(d) of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (Qualifications and other terms and conditions of service and powers and duties of Chairman, Member Secretary and Other Members) Rules, 2021, met on 30.08.2024 and considered all the applications for appointment of the Chairman, A.P. Pollution Control Board, in terms of Rule 3 of the said Rules, assessed and evaluated the suitability of the applicants and found among all the applications that Dr. P. Krishnaiah, IAS (Retd.) possessed the required qualifications and experience. Therefore, the Selection Committee recommended the name of Dr. P. Krishnaiah, IAS (Retd.) for appointment as wholetime Chairman, A.P.P.C.B.

2. Government after careful examination, have decided to accept the recommendation of the Selection Committee and to appoint Dr. P. Krishnaiah, IAS (Retd.), as wholetime Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board for a term of three years from the date of assumption of charge.

3. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in the extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated 16.09.2024.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with subsection (2) of Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and also sub-rule (a) of Rule 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (Qualifications and other terms and conditions of service and powers and duties of Chairman, Member Secretary and Other Members) Rules, 2021, Government hereby appoint Dr. P. Krishnaiah, IAS (Retd.), as wholetime Chairman, for a term of three years from the date of assumption of charge.
